ART
Artivist Alliance Program
House of Balance nurtures the Creative Self, dabbling in sustainable and traditional design, visual art, natural building, jewelry, nature art and medicine-craft making. Because House of Balance endeavors to become self-reliant, we will be selling our artisan products to support our overall mission. We would like to incorporate an earned-income program for responsible teens 14+ and adults who are in transition and could use some extra income, when we have the means to do so. We want to share our love for making beautiful things, while enhancing the quality of life for under-served individuals. These items include: original silk-screened clothing, jewelry, home and beauty accessories, soaps, salves, altar and prayer items like beads, incense, candles and oils, tea blends, painted carvings, homestead items, pet accessories and body care products and other crafts. Our future Artivist Program will be organized so that members earn a portion of the profit, learn about basic business management and hone artisan skills while sharing a safe, creative and social space. If you are interested in sharing a craft, donating supplies or participating directly, email [email protected] |
Eco Art
Eco Art transforms recyclable materials into works of art! From re-purposing fabrics for props and costumes, to cleaning up litter and using it to make city wall murals, or sculptures and installation art pieces, we use art as a tool for positive change. This is one, fun way for our community to address our need to reduce waste and to involve local communities in cleanups. We're excited to serve the local environment AND make art! |
